Jets +10.5 over Colts
We lost a tough one on NIU +3.5 last night in college football. The Huskies missed (2) 2-point conversion attempts as well as a field goal so it was a tough loss. Oh well, that’s why we call it gambling! Onto tonight’s play on the Jets!
What an ugly Thursday night matchup this is! There’s not too much to like about this Jets team but they showed a lot of character by coming back to upset the Bengals last Sunday.
New QB Mike White may have just stolen the starting job from first-round draft pick Zach Wilson! White was phenomenal last week against a pretty decent Cincy defense. He seems to add a spark to this offense that we haven’t quite seen yet with Wilson.
Though there are not many stats in the Jets’ favor for this game, they are the much better 3rd down offense (42.43% conversion rate) as they’re ranked 11th in that key area.
The Jets red zone offense is actually much better than the Colts so far this season. While in the red zone, the Jets score a TD almost 58% of the time. Indy only scores TDs 51.61% of the time inside the 20.
Though the Colts are by far the better overall football team, this is an awful spot for them after choking a big lead away against the Titans last week. Indy could come out a bit flat because they are basically out of the division race at this point. Our power ratings make this number IND-8 so we’ll gladly take the ugly duckling here! GO J.E.T.S JETS JETS JETS 🙂
