Kentucky Derby live updates, results, highlights from 2022 Triple Crown race

It is time for the “Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.” The Kentucky Derby is back at Churchill Downs for the 148th edition of the race, kicking off the 2022 Triple Crown.

This year will undoubtedly have a different feeling to it than in years past. Bob Baffert, the Hall of Fame trainer with six Kentucky Derby wins to date, will not have a horse in the race after Medina Spirit was found to have performance-enhancing drugs in his system. Medina Spirit won the 2021 Kentucky Derby, but the win was stripped and Baffert was suspended, preventing him from entering a horse in the 2022 race.

This year, the horses to keep an eye on heading into the race are Zandon (3-1) and Epicenter (7-2), the two horses with the best odds to win the Kentucky Derby.
